Terms

FlowTree terms and refunds.

These terms cover your licence to use FlowTree, the Pro subscription, refunds, and your rights.

Your code remains yours. You can cancel Pro at any time and request a full refund within 14 days.

The terms below explain the licence, billing, refunds, and your rights.

The licence

What you may do with FlowTree.

FlowTree is licensed to you, not sold. Daniel Sims owns the application and keeps all rights not expressly granted here.

  • You may install and use FlowTree on any Mac you own or control, up to the activation limit shown on your licence. The Free plan may be used indefinitely at no cost.
  • You may use it for commercial work. There is no separate business licence — use it at your job, on client work, or in your own company.
  • Pro features are available while your subscription is active, and for the offline grace period described in the app when your Mac cannot reach the licensing service.

You may not redistribute, resell, rent, or sublicense FlowTree; share your licence key with anyone outside your own use; or work around the licensing or feature gating. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application, except to the extent that right cannot lawfully be excluded — for example your statutory rights to decompile for interoperability.

Your work

Your code, and the risk of destructive commands.

You own everything you make with it

FlowTree claims no rights over your repositories, code, commits, or any other work. It has no backend that receives them — see the privacy page for exactly what does and does not leave your Mac.

Some Git operations permanently destroy work

FlowTree runs Git on your behalf, and parts of Git are destructive by design: discarding changes, deleting branches, removing worktrees, resetting a working directory, and cleaning untracked files can permanently erase work that has not been committed and pushed. FlowTree tries to make these actions deliberate and to warn before them, but it does what you ask it to do.

Keeping backups and pushing work you care about to a remote is your responsibility. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost, deleted, or corrupted code, commits, or files.

Subscription

Billing and cancellation.

  • Lemon Squeezy is the seller. They act as reseller and merchant of record for every purchase, handle payment and invoicing, and their terms apply to the transaction itself. We never see your card details.
  • Pro renews monthly at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. We will tell you before any price change affecting your existing subscription.
  • Cancel whenever you like, through the Lemon Squeezy My Orders portal, also linked from your purchase email. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Part-months are not refunded on cancellation, though the refund policy below may still apply.
  • Nothing is deleted if your subscription ends. Your projects, worktrees, terminals, and history all remain. Only the Pro features lock until you subscribe again.

Refunds

14-day refunds.

If FlowTree Pro is not what you expected, email nebuliftapp@gmail.com within 14 days of your purchase or renewal and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason.

Refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy to your original payment method, normally within a few working days. Your licence is deactivated when the refund is processed.

If something is broken or a renewal was unexpected, contact us even after 14 days and we will review the situation.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you may also have a statutory right to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days. That right can be lost once you begin using digital content and have acknowledged as much at checkout — but the policy above is given voluntarily and is at least as generous, so in practice it makes no difference to you. Nothing here removes any statutory right you have.

Warranties and liability

Warranty and liability limits.

FlowTree is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for any particular purpose, and we do not warrant that it is suitable for use on repositories whose loss you could not tolerate.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with FlowTree is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, data, or code.

What we never exclude

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 covering digital content that is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described.

Open source

Components we build on.

FlowTree includes third-party open-source software under permissive licences, including GRDB.swift, Highlightr, swift-markdown-ui, NetworkImage, swift-cmark, and a build of Ghostty's terminal library. These remain the property of their authors and are used under their own licence terms.

The full list of components and their licences is published on this site, and is also available in the app under Settings → About → Third-Party Licenses.

General

Other terms.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using FlowTree at any time. Your licence ends if you materially breach these terms — for example by redistributing the application or circumventing its licensing. On termination you must stop using FlowTree and remove it from your Macs.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The current version is always here with its date. If a change materially reduces your rights while you hold an active subscription, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.

If a clause fails

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

FlowTree is made by Daniel Sims. Questions about these terms, your licence, or a refund: nebuliftapp@gmail.com. Last updated 21 September 2026.
